These terms govern access to and use of FlipWords. By creating an account or using the service, the user agrees to these terms.
1. Service scope
FlipWords provides language-learning features such as flashcards, saved vocabulary, custom words, study progress, and account-based synchronisation.
2. Eligibility and account security
Users are responsible for providing accurate account information and for keeping their credentials confidential. Users must promptly report suspected unauthorised access.
3. Acceptable use
- No abuse, spam, scraping, credential attacks, automated misuse, or unlawful activity.
- No attempts to disrupt service integrity, bypass limits, or access data without authorisation.
- No upload or submission of unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
4. User content
Users keep responsibility for the words, notes, and messages they submit. They grant the service operator the limited right to store and process that content only to provide the application.
5. Availability
The service is provided on a best-effort basis. Maintenance, outages, security interventions, provider issues, or development changes may temporarily affect availability or features.
6. Suspension and termination
Accounts may be suspended or removed when necessary to protect the service, other users, or legal compliance. Users may delete their account at any time from the account area.
7. Intellectual property
The FlipWords application, branding, user interface, and original service materials remain the property of the operator unless otherwise stated. User-submitted content remains the user’s responsibility.
8. Disclaimers
FlipWords is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of uninterrupted service, specific learning outcomes, or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from their effective date.
